And how is the working hours in cruise ship?
Dont compare it with a normal working hour with normal people on the land..8 hours and off for weekend?
Dont even think about it..dont even dream about it...nobody normal on board..ha ha ha ha
Usually its 10 hour or more a day..and continuosly until you finish your contract.
And how long is your contract?depend 6,8,10 months....This is for crew in general,we re not talking with the officer coz they have different contract. So before you join the ship you have to prepare your body and mind for this condition.
But dont be stress in some company if you're lucky you will have bfast off, lunch off or dinner off (for the one who working in the restaurant),in the river cruise some company give their crew 1 day off for special condition.Thats why dont you think working in the cruise ship is an easy job...its looks nice to see the picture of the crew all over the world...but when you re talking about the job and working hours...its not easy. But if you' re use to it..its not a big deal....just a piece of cake...it just hard in the beginning :).
Thats why to have fun after working hour its really necessary..dont just stay on board..go out if you have time off...to see the world..to see outside the ship..enjoying the local food..try something new outside....
If youre just sleep and work.and sleep...and work..for sure you will be crazy.
All department have their own pressure..like the one in the galley/kitchen their pressure is different with the one in the restaurant..and also the one in the housekeeping...everybody have their own stress. But job is job..you have to do it..coz the company pay you for it...so prepare some vitamin and medicine..coz you will need it on board......Enjoy your working hours on board :)
